In many of Paul’s letters we find the first section lays a bedrock of biblical theology (what we are to believe). Building on that foundation, he teaches a biblical ethic (how we are to live our lives). We have come to the place in our study of Colossians, where we see this taking place. Tomorrow, we will begin making our way through ch. 3 of Colossians. The great doctrine of the believer’s union with Christ is on full display in vv. 1-4. And what follows is the transformed life that he offers each of us. So, meditate on these four vv. in preparation for tomorrow morning, and ponder what is true of Christ and what is true of us. I’ll see you there, as we set our minds on things above, and learn about the new self in Christ.
